Who Wins? In the end my furry babies got tired and came to bed. :)

This poor monkey laying on the floor started the fight.

Jake "captured" the monkey!

The competition started! Lil Jack snagged the monkey from Jake and he is not happy!

While I was getting ready for bed.. the fight intensified.

The poor little Monkey and Giraffe was placed in their day bed before they took over mine. :)

Lil Jack has three of my pillows and Jake has possession of my favorite bathrobe. :)

It was a massive fight and in the end their goal was to end it for the night. They finally came to bed and will regroup the next day. I cleaned up the "stuffings" from the poor monkey and giraffe and the battle continues.

Me too!! Is Jake a rat terrier? Looks like my Spot in body shape. I love it when the "kids" play. My long hair cat Amber and Spot unwittingly play together - shared passions of the laser pointer and a stuffed squirrel. Great pictures to illustrate the epic battle! :-)

LMAO!!! You got that right Holly! Some days, I think that I am in charge but, sigh, I give those little, loyal pups what they want. Well, within reason of course... We are not giving up our bed.. just pillows so far. I'll talk to you next week. I hope we still have our bed! :)

You are so right Beth! They have taken my pillows and bathrobe and still allow me to sleep in our bed. Indeed those little furry lovelies have taken charge of "their" household and have put us in our place. :)

LOL! Several years ago, I upgraded from a queen-sized bed to a king. Why? Because my 90-lb boy would get up on the bed and stretch himself diagonally across it which made it a bit crowded on the queen. Now with his age and bad hip, he can't get up there anymore and I'm left swimming on a huge mattress at night.

My Jake can't jump unto the bed anymore either, so when he is ready, he stands up and looks at me with those... Hey! eyes. I lift his little furry butt up and give him my expensive bathrobe that is his now. My husband just washed it today and Jake was beside himself diving into the warmth. And, as you know the baby, Lil Jack has the pillows. Sigh! They make me happy. :)

I grew up with German Shepherds and when a fight got started, scared me but my voice would bring them back in control! But, since I'm older now and the little dogs get in a fight.. I can just pick one them up. *giggles* There is something funny about little pups in a fight though. :)

This is an awesome photo composition, Mrs D! I'm still giggling over the pup's antics. My 7 pound Schnauzer grandpuppy once killed my feather duster and to this day makes me laugh just thinking of her heroic defeat. Love these, thanks.

Thank you JS! LOL. My little pups have the "little pup" syndrome and fight the stuffing's out their adversaries. When the fight ended, they placed the "toys" in their day bed... as they are never allowed in "my bed.. ahhh their" bed at bedtime. Jake and Lil Jack keep me laughing everyday. :)

At least your canine babies won't allow their adversaries in *the* bed! My feline Terrorist believes ALL his favorite adversaries belong in ours! I go to bed in the dark, and it's like the "Princess and the Pea", there are so many lumps in my bed! Hald a dozen mice toys, the chirping bird toy and some others. I have a queen size bed too and onlt kitty and me supposedly. LOL :-)

How can anyone sleep with that ruckus!! Tell them to be civilized like cats and fight outside under your bedroom window!

(Yes, we had a territorial dispute last night. Luckily, it involved neither monkeys nor giraffes. And I didn't have to clean up any stuffing!)

ROTFLMAO!!!!!! OMGoodness KO! We had a "screeching" sound outside of our window a few years ago.. and it was horrible. We still don't know what it was but, at the corner of our house was "kitty" fur. :( We didn't find a body so we have always hoped that whatever feline... survived. :)

You can actually buy dog toys without the stuffing, but I don't know how the dogs would react. They certainly seem to enjoy the whole disembowelling process.

Years ago my Malamute destroyed a cushion in the backyard. It was a standard 30x30cm (12x12") cushion, yet you wouldn't have known that from the mess. I can't believe cushion insides can cover so much area. You'll be finding monkey and giraffe innards for weeks.
